Animal cruelty is pervasive throughout the United States and Hawai'i is no exception. Intensive factory farming takes place in our own back yards, right here on Oahu.
In addition to farm animals, other animal abuse in Hawai'i includes fur coats and fur trim sold at Neiman Carcass, as well as fur trim sold in many other department stores; dolphins and other sea life imprisoned for profit, away from their families, swimming in circles year after year in small concrete tanks for the mere amusement of tourists; similarly, animals in the zoo are kept in cages, thousands of miles from their natural homes; animals used for cruel and wasteful experiments at UH, when many prestigious universities have eliminated testing on animals.
This section deals with specific issues relating to animal abuse in Hawai'i.
This index page shows a complete listing of the Issues section, with brief descriptions. The navigation menu on the left contains shortcuts to these entries, the top button: 'All Issues' takes You back to this index page.
